Over the last 20 years, French Kisses has explored and been the Garden Route home for a multitude of beautiful ranges. In recent years, leaning into its European roots with French brands such as Le Temps des Cerises, La Petite Etoile, Netherlands powerhouse YAYA and visionary knitwear from Spain with Sita Murt, Aldo Martins and Andam the store continues to evolve with fashion brands from across the globe, keeping its fresh and exciting anchor ranges in demand and from time to time offering a spontaneous magical pop of special one-off-pieces.

Great care is taken with every buying season to select the best of each range in finite quantities to keep in line with the spirit of offering excellent quality within the traditional boutique environment.

Shinel Crerar, a consummate Plett local, has seen the evolution of design and fashion in the beautiful seaside town of Plett to become the owner of the little gem of a store that is French Kisses Plettenberg Bay. Having navigated and learned the ropes through interior design showrooms and working with other fashion fire-starters in the Garden Route, Shinel built her own strong yet playful sense of style that she now offers to her own beloved customers through her carefully curated international ranges. 

She defines her philosophy as a blend of effortless luxury; think exquisite fabrics, original prints and craftsmanship,  with playful twists, cheeky nods and attention to the finest details. Her passion for travelling and her deep connection to Nature inspire her choices, and while trends are noted, they are not prescribed to but rather the focus is to find the perfect piece that makes the wearer fall in love with themselves over and over..

Cassidy Hartslief, Shinel's right hand and French Kisses touche-à-tout, lives up to her namesake by bringing her heartfelt creativity, passion, warmth and care to all she does at the store. With a Bachelor's in Fashion Design, Cassidy has always believed in the transformative power of fashion as a form of authentic self-expression that allows people to share their inner worlds and stories without saying a word. 

When she's not assisting in seasonal buying and creating catching social media content, she prides herself on offering her best in selecting and assisting clients to find beautiful pieces that will become a treasured part of their wardrobe for years to come. On any given day you can find her, humming around the store, with a bright smile, music playing, and generally creating a beautiful space for clients old and new to become friends.
